Girls Team

The BHP girls tennis team won the region title for the 5th straight year and advanced to the fourth round (Upper State Championships) of the 2022 and 2023 State AAA Playoffs.  They defeated Chester, Walhall and Clinton without losing a match before falling to Daniel 4-3 in the Upper State Championship match.  The team plays in the fall and are coached by Meredith Hitch.

The Lady Bears finished their 2023 regular season schedule with a 14-2 record and received the sportsmanship award at the Hall of Fame Classic.  Coach Meredith Hitch was named the Region Coach of the Year.  Number 1 singles and doubles player Maggie LeCroy was named the Region Player of the Year, made the All-State and North-South teams and won the Class AAA individual sportsmanship award at the state high school individual tournament in Florence..  Lecroy, Jessica Callaham, Natalie Brown and Elizabeth Knight were all named to the All Region team.
