10U Draws

10U Girl's & Boy's

  • The Palmetto Championships has been played since 1957 and has a rich history, and was long considered the largest and strongest junior tournament in South Carolina.  Ten-and-under was added to the tournament in 1991.  Notable past 10U singles champions include Krissy Stubbs, Ryan Young, Shelby Rogers, Spencer Brown, Hayley Carter, Harper Stone and Noah Johnston.

  • 10U players must enter the tournament through the Palmetto 10U tournament, not the regular Palmetto Chamionships for 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U

  • The entry deadline for 10U is Monday, May 19 at 5:59 pm.

  • The Palmetto 10U is open to players ages 10-and-under whose residence is in South Carolina.

  • Players ages 9 & 10 may enter regardless of the USTA 10U Progression from orange ball to green ball.  Players 8 and under who need to be moved from orange ball to green ball should contact Amanda Morelli at USTA South Carolina at morelli@sctennis.com.

  • The Palmetto 10U Championships will feature green ball competition on 78' courts.  Scoring will be best 2 of 3 short sets, withi a 7-point tiebreaker played in lieu of a third set.  No ad scoring will be used and shorts sets will be first to 4 games, with a 7-point tiebreaker played at 4-all.

  • Either a compass draw or round robins with playoffs will be used for singles and doubles, depending on the number of entries.  It is most likely the doubles will be a round robin without playoffs.

  • Matches will be played on hard courts at TL Hanna High School, 2600 HWY 81 (Greenville ST), Anderson, SC.  The courts are located off Vandiver Road, which turns off HWY 81.  If driving toward Anderson pass the school and turn left on Vandiver Road.  If driving away from Anderson turn right on Vandiver Road just before the school.  The tennis courts will be on the left behind the school.  The tournament desk will be located under the shed on the far side of the courts (away from the parking lot).

  • The 10U competition is a 2-day tournament.  Play will begin at 8:00 Saturday and Sunday.  Singles play should end early Sunday afternoon.  Players should expect multiple matches each day.  Every effort will be made to provide as many matches as feasible for the players.
