Our Mission To promote and develop the growth of tennis and pickleball in the Western Tidewater.
The Western Tidewater Tennis Association (WTTA) is a 501c3 tax-exempt organization. Membership and sponsorship donations directly support operational costs to run our tennis & pickleball programs, leagues, tournaments, camps, and social events for all levels of tennis and pickleball players in the Western Tidewater area.
WTTA also places emphasis on introducing and fostering a lifelong love of tennis in the youth and adults of the Western Tidewater area through the following activities and programs:
Operating year-round programs and camps for underprivileged youth. Partnering with Franklin Boys & Girls Club and Parks & Recreation Department, James L Camp YMCA after-school program, USTA, Suffolk Parks & Recreation Department, and area schools.
Delivering Ace Obesity Program to area schools. The Ace Obesity Program instructs students on the benefits of healthy eating and getting moving and teaches tennis skills during physical education classes. Over 2,000 students have engaged in this program so far.
Providing tennis equipment to each local school, giving over 4,200 students access to tennis.
Helping fund tennis summer camp sponsorships for our area's underprivileged youth.
