2023 SUMMER CAMP
We offer half-day camps on LBI in Harvey Cedars, Beach Haven and Ship Bottom and on the mainland in Manahawkin and Waretown. Camps are available for ages 5-12 and ages 5-13, depending on location. See note about ages below.
At all camps: Children will develop and improve basic tennis strokes, ball judgment, racquet control and footwork while playing fun and engaging games. Our programs are based on the USTA Net Gen model which is designed so kids can progress in developing their strokes and an all-court game with balls they can hit more often, on courts they can cover. This includes building competencies with slower, lower bouncing balls, smaller courts and kid-sized racquets- all leading to good technique, success, and lots of fun!
Red (foam or felt), orange and/or green balls will be used. Children will be grouped by age/skill and the appropriate ball based on age/skill and goal of the activity will be used. Movement and coordination skills also benefit other sports. Racquets are available for use.
REGISTRATION: When registering, you will be asked to login with USTA account or to create one. This is free. For camps, you can pay with credit card or choose pay Offline. Contact here with questions.
HARVEY CEDARS (Sunset Park): The full camp experience is Mon-Fri. (4 days for week of Jul 3). There are a few spaces available for daily registrations for each age group. Additional daily spaces may be opened prior to camp starting. Contact us to check on availability.

Note on Ages: 4 yr. olds and 13 yr. olds have enjoyed our programs and are welcome. Age 5-12 is a guideline for most of our programs. Both Stafford and Beach Haven camps are Age 5-13 due to the extra court (BH) and separate sessions (Stafford). You can contact me to check on enrollment for your 13 yr. old at the other locations.
Parents know best if their 4 yr. old child is ready for a 3 hr (or 2 hr) camp in a small group of 5-6 year olds.
Racquets: Appropriate-sized equipment allows for good technique and prevents injuries. Racquets will be available for use. See Equipment for more info. if you want to bring an appropriately-sized racquet.
