About Eyes on the Ball Tennis
Eyes on the Ball Tennis follows the Net Generation philosophy of using fun and engaging games to learn through play in a supportive environment. We use the Net Generation competencies to ensure children are learning a strong foundation on which they can continue to develop their tennis game, character and athletic skills. Assessments to the Net Generation competencies are available.
All coaches have completed background checks, USTA's Safe Play training, and Net Generation training, at a minimum.

I learned tennis as an adult and put myself on a path to teach it, becoming a true “student of the game”- the technical, tactical and mental aspects. I have PTR Certification (tennis teaching organization) and focus my continuing education on Red-Orange-Green Ball tennis. I have completed numerous additional trainings in the area of children’s tennis, such as PTR Kids, Evolve 9 workshops, Quickstart, Coach Youth Tennis including USTA’s Safe Play and background check.
I have experience instructing children with KidZone Tennis in Hilton Head, SC, a program which transitioned into the children’s program at Van Der Meer Tennis, and at Lyme Shores Tennis in CT before moving to LBI and creating Eyes on the Ball Tennis.
I develop players to play with proper techniques, sound tactics and good mental attitudes while enjoying the game and achieving their tennis goals. I appreciate and share with my students the useful life skills that tennis emphasizes: confidence, positive attitude, resiliency, goal-setting, striving to improve, focus on the moment, problem solving and moving on to the “next point”.
