ABOUT THE NET CRASHERS

Our focus is to have fun first and positively encourage our fellow players, build the tennis community and forge long lasting friendships. It is assumed everyone wants to win, but we always want it to be fun. Tennis is an outlet for many of us to have a break from life and be happy while getting exercise. The team is made up of players from lots of TCD Teams, the Lakes Academy Tennis Club, Courts of McKinney, Lifetime and more.

You can be a part of the team in a way that works for you. You could be a ...

• League Player - sign up for USTA or UTR Leagues when we send out notices. You can be on multiple teams. Ex. If you play on a USTA Fri with 18+, you can play with us on USTA Sun 18+, Fri 40+ or Sun 40+... depending on your age of course.
• Pre-League Season Player - join our team, practice and drill in preparation for the next League that you are interested in.
• Fun Player - just join us for drills and free match play when you can. Are you on a nother team? That's totally cool, use this as an opportunity to get extra practice, add a league day to your schedule and meet some more people. You are still a part of the team! 
• Team Friend - Just drop into any drill or match play that is posted on our site and calendar. We will not include you on text or GroupMe if you don't want to be bothered. Some people get a lot of text/emails through the week and we understand.

18+ WOMENS 3.0 FALL OFF COURT

• Team Rosters are due July 2025, League Play kicks off late August 2025.
• Game Times are Thu 9:30-11:30 am and Sat 10:00 am -2:00 pm. The days are Fri and Sun in Fall. They switch in Spring.
• We will be signing up for 18+ Thu AND 18+ Sat. This may change depending on everyones preference and schedules
• Thursday/Friday Format: 3 Doubles & 2 Single Line
• Saturday/Sunday Format: 3 Doubles & 2 Single Lines
• Season cost, minus coached drills if you attend those, is $38.
• You have to already have a USTA Paid membership, which is $44/ year.

40+ WOMENS 3.0 WINTER SUN LEAGUE ON COURT

• Registration will be open in Oct 2025. We will post the next date on our Calendar at the end of this season. Base rosters due 12/13/25.

• W40+Sunday Season kicks off around 1/26/25, Lines - 1 Single & 3 Doubles, games have to be scheduled between 9am-2p and season runs 6-8 weeks from start

• Matches have to be schedule between 9:30am-11:30am

• Generally, we need 7 core players and a minimum of 5 sub players. Season cost, minus coached drills if you attend those, is $38. You have to already have a USTA Paid membership, which is $44/ year.

WEATHER UPDATES

Home Captains notify Visting Captains no more than two (2) hours prior to match start time on the day of the match (not night before). We use www.weather.com. We don't play below 35 or above 105. Immediate updates will be posted in GroupMe and sent via text through TennisLink to team.

8D. Extreme Weather Conditions. The HOME Captain determines the conditions at the match site and is responsible for notifying the VISITING Captain NO MORE THAN two (2) hours prior to match start time on the SCHEDULED DAY OF THE MATCH.   Both captains should verify through www.weather.com.  The following weather conditions may subject a match to be rescheduled:

(1) If the actual temperature is 35 degrees or below at the time match is scheduled to begin play.

(2) The actual temperature is 105 degrees or higher at the time match is scheduled to begin play.

If either of the above extreme weather conditions exist, either captain may reschedule the match.  Once the match has started, it must be completed.
