The Flagstaff Open is back!
After a 2-year COVID hiatus, we're back at Northern Arizona University again June 24-25. Players of all ages are welcome for singles, doubles, and mixed doubles in a variety of categories. Prior to COVID, the tournament was drawing over 100 players for 3 great days of competition and we're very happy to offer this great opportunity again! The event will include prizes, silent auction, snacks and beverages.
TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW:
Pending COVID-19 protocols as needed, the 2022 Flagstaff Open and Junior tournament will be held at the Northern Arizona University Tennis Complex, on six indoor and six outdoor courts. With elevations over 7000', Flagstaff's cooler, mountain air and frequent sunshine serve up excellent conditions for summer spring tennis in the Southwest U.S.
This annual event is a USTA sanctioned tournament for all players. For adult divisions, there are Men's and Women's Open singles and doubles, NTRP singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events. Adult men's and women's NTRP levels group draws range includes 3.0 through 4.0 in singles, doubles and mixed-doubles. We've also added 5 55+ draws this year!
For juniors, there are singles and doubles, by age division (e.g., 18s, 16s, 14s, 12s ). The number of entries determines draw type for a given event, whenever time, weather, and facilities permit.
For 10 and under sign up for the Junior Circuit! We will use orange and green balls.
The tournament is the annual fundraiser for the Flagstaff Tennis Association's tennis activities in the community (including summer tennis camps for kids, and team tennis). Choosing to play is a way of helping tennis grow in our community!
