At T.R.I.N.I.T.Y. Tennis, we believe some of the most powerful moments in youth sports happen when a young player and a trusted adult step onto the court side by side.

This spring, we invited families to do exactly that.

Our Red Ball Celebration Day of Tennis on Saturday, May 9, 2026 is a season-ending adult–youth team event that celebrates teamwork, confidence, and connection. But confidence on the court is not built in a single afternoon.

It is built through preparation, practice, and shared experiences.

That is why we have been offering opportunities for teams to learn, play, and grow together throughout the season leading up to Celebration Day.

🎾 Side-by-Side Sessions: Build the Foundation

Our Side-by-Side sessions are the starting point for adult–youth teams learning how to play together using the Red Ball format.

These sessions introduce the basics of partner play and help teams feel comfortable being on the court together.

During these sessions, teams:

• Learn rally fundamentals using Red Ball tennis
• Practice serving, scoring, and court positioning
• Build communication and teamwork between partners
• Gain confidence through simple, game-based activities

With smaller courts, slower balls, and simplified scoring, most teams can begin rallying and playing points within minutes.

Side-by-Side sessions help families and mentors step onto the court together and begin building the skills needed for match play.

🔁 Practice Opportunities

In addition to Side-by-Side sessions, teams have had opportunities to continue practicing together throughout the season.

These practices help players:

• Reinforce rally and serving skills
• Practice scoring and match flow
• Build confidence competing with their partner
• Become comfortable playing on multiple courts

The goal is simple: help teams feel prepared, relaxed, and excited when Celebration Day arrives.

🎾 Red Ball Celebration Day

Celebration Day brings adult–youth teams together for a fun afternoon of Red Ball tennis to close out our first Side-by-Side season.

Rather than a formal tournament, the day will feature multiple timed matches, team play, and on-court activities so everyone can stay active and enjoy the experience together.

This format allows for:

• Continuous play with minimal waiting
• Multiple opportunities to play
• Smooth court rotations
• A fun, relaxed, high-energy atmosphere for players and families

Families and spectators are encouraged to cheer on the teams and enjoy the day together.

🏅 Season Celebration

At the end of the day, we will gather for a closing celebration to recognize the effort everyone has put into the season.

We will celebrate:

• Participation and growth
• Teamwork and encouragement
• Sportsmanship and effort
• The completion of our first Side-by-Side season
