Welcome to the Michigan Recreational Tennis Club!
We’re a community that welcomes players of all skill levels — from experienced competitors to those who’ve never picked up a racket. Whether you want to rally, play full sets, or just drop in and hit, you’re free to structure practice however you’d like. For beginners, we also offer red ball tennis as a fun and approachable way to learn the game.

How It Works

• We meet three times per week, but we are a zero-commitment club — come as often or as little as you’d like.

• For Fall 2025, our practice schedule is:

  • Tuesday: 10:00PM – 12:00AM

  • Thursday: 10:00PM – 12:00AM

  • Sunday: 6:00PM – 8:00PM

• Location: Varsity Tennis Center (VTC). A one-time $50 annual VTC membership is required (or $10 guest fee per session). Learn more about VTC memberships here.

Dues

• $40 per semester, covering court rental and balls.

• First session is free (VTC guest fee still applies for non-members).

• Option: $10 per session if you don’t want to commit for the whole semester.

• Drivers who consistently provide rides may qualify for reduced dues.

• Refunds are only available within 2 weeks of payment (exceptions may be considered for special circumstances).

Carpooling
We coordinate rides to VTC through our GroupMe, picking up members from central campus and North Campus locations before practice. If you can provide rides regularly, you’ll receive discounted dues.

How to Join

1. Go to the Membership tab below and sign up to become a member.

2. Once you’re a member, head to the Programming tab to register for the current semester’s sessions.
