What to expect from Tennis 101

USTA Tennis 101 is designed for new players or returning players to have fun and learn (or even re-learn) the sport. Each class during this 6-session program includes engaging and interactive tennis activities plus fun games so you can build your skills. Participants who complete the program will possess the fundamental skills in order to be confident in enjoying tennis. You do not need any prior tennis experience to enjoy USTA Tennis 101.

Adult Beginner Lessons will be offered from June 12 - July 10, 2023 at the Memorial Park Tennis Courts. The lessons will last from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Alvin Cheng, former NCAA Division III men's and women's head coach, and recently the head coach for Mount Vernon nazare University's men's and women's teams, will be leading the lessons.

The cost for the lessons is $60. Your registration fee not only covers your lessons, but you will also receive a new racquet and some green dot tennis balls.
