- Kurt Kujawa - Kujawa Tennis Academy -- Kurt grew up in Clarksville and excelled in tennis, playing his college tennis in Hawaii. He came back to Clarksville and began Kujawa Tennis Academy in 1995. He offers tennis camps, clinics, and private instruction. - Curtis Holland - (615) 504-4224 or curtishollandtennispro@yahoo.com - Curtis is a native of Springfield has been involved in tennis, the "sport of a lifetime," for 47 years as a player, coach, and teaching professional. He played on the APSU tennis team for four years, from 1977 to 1981, under Coach Dennis Emery, who is the former head coach at the University of Kentucky. Curtis is currently serving as an assistant to PTR National Tester and Friends of Hadley Park Junior Tennis Development Program Executive Director, Joe Goldthreate. He still assists Mr. Goldthreate in coaching nationally ranked juniors, collegiate, and professional players. Curtis, a PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) National Tester is the longest tenured coach at Springfield High School, taking their boys and girls teams to greater heights in his 36 years at the helm. Among his personal accomplishments are being recognized as the 2003 Tennessee PTR Assistant Pro of the Year, and the 2004 and 2019 Tennessee PTR Member of the Year. In 2013 Curtis was chosen PTR Coach Jim Verdieck High School Coach of the Year. Also, in 2012 the City of Springfield Mayor and Board of Alderman named the tennis courts in Springfield The Curtis Holland Tennis Complex at Garner Street Park. Curtis started the Curtis Holland Tennis Academy in 2002 and Garner Street Park Tennis Camps in 1987 with Dick Rolfe a former Ole Miss Tennis Player. The primary goal of the Academy is to expose people to the game of tennis and to get them excited about the sport of a lifetime. Using the "Standard Method," developed by Internationally recognized tennis instructor, Dennis Van der Meer, all academy students are instructed in the bio-mechanics of the basic forehand, backhand, volley, and overhead shots, as well as the serve. The Academy also offers world class instruction - individual private lessons, group lessons for junior players and adults, and junior camps. Tennis instruction at the Academy is held at the Curtis Holland Tennis Complex in Springfield. Curtis Holland also offer Private lessons at Swan Lake Tennis Center on Wednesdays after 4:00 PM.
- Ed Dickson - Ed Dickson is a former head tennis coach at Austin Peay. In fact, he has 27 years of division 1 college coaching experience. He was an assistant coach at Clemson; then head coach at Purdue and West Virginia University before coming to Austin Peay. He played college tennis at Toledo University and continues to play tournaments even now in his "retirement" years. He still loves to teach tennis lessons in a private, semi-private, or group setting. If you need some new strings in your racket, he can also take care of that for you.
