Champions for Life Tennis is available year round!

General Information

When does the indoor season begin and end at CFL? The 2021 - 2022 season will run from September 20 through May 30. Online registration begins September 1, 2021. You can register anytime throughout the year (membership prices will be prorated beginning on December 1 and on February 1). Court times can be requested, and an updated availability calendar is at the front desk or online.

How do I join the CFL Tennis Club? All tennis memberships should be purchased online. You can click below to go to the registration page. There, you’ll choose and pay for your memberships. Gold memberships are good through August 31, 2022, and can be paid in full or have a monthly EFT payment available. Unlimited and Pay to Play memberships can be purchased and paid for in full, or over three or four months (depending on when you register).

CFL will be opening registration for 2021-2022 tennis memberships on September 1, 2021. Registration will progress as follows:

Gold: September 1
Unlimited: September 8
Pay-to-Play: September 15
Month-to-Month: September 15

A description of each type of membership and their prices is linked on the main page.

Please note that Skedda will be disabled for court bookings from September 1 through September 20. If you want to play, you can contact the front desk to reserve court time during that period. Summer Members/Gold Members will not have to pay anything additional. Non-members will pay the court/guest fee during that time.

A few things to keep in mind:

·We require that you drop off your cards at the front desk when you arrive to play, each time you arrive. Please remember your card.

·If you are a gold or unlimited member, you will only have to drop your card and run.

·If you are a pay-to-play member, you will need to pay your $10 fee before you head out to the courts.

·PLEASE purchase your membership online prior to coming in for your first play of the year. We do not have time to process your registration on the first day of the season. If you will need help, you are welcome to come in prior to September 20. Any one of us can help with that process.

·For your convenience, we also now accept payments for pay-to-play via venmo, the QR code is at the front desk so you can scan and pay right there.

·Lesson and clinic pricing will be forthcoming and out before the beginning of the season. Please make sure that you pay for your lesson or clinic prior to entering the tennis courts. You can pay via venmo, or any of the other traditional methods at the front desk. Please do not pay Jordan or RJ directly.

·We are going to book courts as we receive registrations. If there is a conflict and more people are requesting courts than there are courts available, we will base reservations on a number of factors, including the order in which the reservation was received, the level of membership, and number of people playing on that court (a group of four v. a group of two).

·We are offering a new membership type this year – the month-to-month. The MTM membership is only available as an unlimited membership, and permanent court times are not available with the MTM membership. Further, it is only available as a single (not couple or family). More information can be found on the attached tennis prices sheet.

·COVID – is still a concern, of course. However, if you are vaccinated, we are not at this time requiring mask use indoors. We reserve the right to change that requirement, and we do recommend mask use in the lobby and locker rooms, even if you are vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated, you are required to wear your masks in the lobby, hallway, and locker rooms, removing your mask only on the tennis courts during play.

·Our staff is authorized to request proof of vaccination. If you cannot provide proof, you will be asked to wear your masks as though you are not vaccinated, until such time as proof of vaccination is provided.

·We are not at this time requiring our staff to be vaccinated, although it is entirely possible that we will do so in the future. You are welcome to ask us our vaccination status if you want to know.

·Locker rooms and showers are currently open and available for use.

·Please remove your street shoes before entering the tennis courts and use your tennis sneakers to play.

·For Pay-to-Play members, the PTP punch card is available for purchase on the website. These make great gifts, and speed up getting out onto the court if you are coming to play.

Where did the snowbird membership go? We determined it was not feasible to do the snowbird membership anymore, as it was only utilized by a few people, who ended up returning to CFL in the spring. For people who travel in the winter, we suggest using the pay-to-play option or month-to-month option (new this year). Please see below.

Tell me more about the month to month option! As a replacement for our snowbird memberships, and by the request of many of our members, a month-to-month/cancel at any time membership is available beginning October 1, 2021. All month-to-month membership will cease as of the end of the season (May 30). The month-to-month option is per person only - no couple or family options, and is only available as an unlimited tennis option. There are also no permanent court reservations; players can book as needed. This is only available as a subscription product, meaning that when you sign up, your card will be charged each month on that date for the monthly amount, unless you notify us that you will be discontinuing your membership. You must click on the ‘Cancel My Membership’ tab at the top of this page and fill out the form if you wish to cancel. We must receive your cancelation at least 3 days prior to your card being charged. Fees are $125/month for over 18, $100/month for 18 and under.

How can I reserve a court? We use SKEDDA for court booking. You can click here to go to Skedda and book from there. You are also welcome to call the front desk if you’d prefer: 315-252-9305. Please note, Skedda will be disabled as of September 1 until the season opens so that we are able to book permanent court times for the season.

What if I cannot make my reserved court time? Call the CFL front desk at least 24 hours in advance to cancel any regular court times that you cannot make. After the third no-show without a cancellation, the court is opened to other players.

Tournaments and Socials: At times throughout the year, CFL will host USTA tournaments and other events, typically on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday. If you have a permanent court time on one of those days, it is possible that your court time will be bumped. We will do our best to notify you well in advance if that is going to be the case.

Can I bring a guest to play in my group? Guests are welcome! There is a fee of $10 per guest, in addition to court fees. Guests are allowed 3 visits per season here at CFL. Please make sure your guest signs in at the front desk when they arrive. There is a card each guest will need to fill out the first time they come in, and on each visit after that. If you want to pay their fee ahead of time, please make arrangements to do so ahead of their arrival. After three visits as a guest, folks are asked to purchase a membership if they want to continue playing at CFL.
