Try Tennis - If you're looking for a fun tennis program for your beginning player with no former tennis experience, then Try Tennis may be a great fit for your child and your budget. For $40, your child will receive 6 hours of group tennis instruction, a new tennis racquet and a Try Tennis towel.  (First time players only)

Players learn basic tennis skills; groundstrokes, volleys, and serves. Mom and Dad can sign up for Try Tennis too.

USTA Junior Team Challenge - Low Pressure introduction to competition.  Focus on character, level based play, deemphasize results, short duration (1- 2 hours).  Can be played with red, orange, and green ball.  USTA has turnkey resources to help run the program.  Participants are expected to at least drop hit serve from service line over the net and sustain a modified rally which can be rolling, trapping, bumping, or hitting.


USTA Junior Team Tennis - Season of local team-based match play.  Gain match experience, develop skills, focus on team results, flexible duration (4-8 weeks).

2024 Sandhills Junior Team Tennis League: 

  • Age divisions: 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U
  • JTT Matches On Saturday 2:00-3:30pm
  • Tentative Match Dates: 04/06, 04/13, 04/27, 05/11 with a 5/18 League Party.
  • Minimum of 3-4 players per team. 
  • Each team plays back to back matches of one singles court, one doubles court.  One set to 6, no ad.

2023 Sandhills Junior Team Tennis Spring League: 

  • Age divisions: 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U
  • JTT Matches On Saturday from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Highland Country Club
  • Tentative Season April 15th to May 20th (4-5 weeks)
  • Minimum of 3-4 players per team. 
  • Each team plays back to back matches of one singles court, one doubles court.  One set to 6, no ad.
  • Winning team in each division advances to State Championship in Greenville, NC in June

USTA Junior Circuit:  Series of non-elimination tournaments.  Intro do individual competition.  Advance skills, focus on level based play, duration (2-4 hours).


USTA Junior Tournaments - When you’re ready to play in ranked competitive tennis, USTA Junior Tournaments are a great way to get out on the court and test your game. You’ll have every opportunity to learn from the best, play against the best – and even make new friends along the way.  By participating in USTA Junior Tournaments, you’ll have a better chance to take your game as far as you want – high school, college or even the pros.
