Payton has been playing tennis for 10 years. She played varsity tennis all 4 years at Brownsburg High School before playing at Marian University. She was part of the 2018 Girls Tennis State Final Four team and won a critical match in Semi-State to help her team win.  She now coaches middle school tennis at Brownsburg with her high school teammate Caitlin Preada.
