The Walterboro Tennis Association is sponsoring a Rice Festival Tournament on Sunday April 26, 2026 at 1 pm. This is going to be an event with friendly competition and fun for players of all skill levels. Play will be at the Forest Hills Tennis Center at 772 Ireland Hills Road, Walterboro, SC 29488. We had a large tennis community several years ago, but our numbers have dwindled since the pandemic. Oral goal is to get many of those players back on the court enjoying tennis. So if you used to play on a USTA team, high school team, or with the men’s Saturday morning group, we want you to come out and play. The format will be random and rotating doubles matches. We expect to have enough for a men’s and a women’s draw. The tournament will include food, games, prizes, and awards. Please register early as this helps greatly with planning. Deadline for registration is Thursday, April 23, 2026. Registration will be $5 and will be collected at the tournament. Please bring cash or check. Checks payable to Walterboro Tennis Association.
