Mindful Tennis by T.R.I.N.I.T.Y. is a unique, wellness-centered coaching experience that blends movement, mentorship, and mental wellness through the sport of tennis. Designed especially for youth, this program goes beyond traditional lessons, it’s an empowering space where tennis becomes a tool for emotional regulation, confidence-building, and personal growth.


🌱 What Is Mindful Tennis?

Mindful Tennis is not a performance-based tennis lesson or clinical therapy session. It’s part of what we call Movement-Based Resilience Coaching: a non-clinical, non-diagnostic approach to supporting youth as they strengthen their emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Where therapy may focus on diagnosis and treatment, and traditional sports coaching centers around winning, Mindful Tennis equips youth with tools to thrive in everyday life. Using movement as medicine, our sessions create a safe, affirming space where youth can:

  • Develop coping skills

  • Strengthen emotional regulation

  • Improve concentration and present-moment awareness

  • Increase self-awareness and self-confidence

  • Build resilience, focus, and perseverance

  • Connect meaningfully with peers and a caring adult coach

This approach supports mental wellness in a way that feels fun, natural, and approachable, even for youth who may not respond well to traditional counseling or competitive environments.


🎾 What to Expect in a Mindful Tennis Session

Each 45-minute session is structured to provide a balanced mix of movement, mindfulness, and reflection. Participants can expect:

✅ Tennis Drills and Movement-Based Activities

We use Red and Yellow balls, depending on skill level and developmental stage. Red balls are slower and easier to control, perfect for beginners. Yellow balls are used for older or more experienced participants ready for a faster pace. Our tennis drills will focus on coordination, agility, balance, and body awareness, and all of our sessions are designed to be fun, inclusive, and pressure-free.

🧘‍♀️ Mindfulness Moments

Participants will engage in movement-based mindfulness practices, such as grounding techniques, breathwork, and body scanning...all woven seamlessly into play. These exercises will help youth strengthen focus, emotional regulation, and foster a sense of calm.

💬 Guided Reflection

Each session concludes with a brief, age-appropriate reflection led by the coach. Youth are invited to notice and name their emotions, celebrate progress, and explore how the day’s lesson applies to life outside of tennis. We immense care, ensuring that every session is designed to be safe, supportive, and affirming: a place where youth can show up as they are and leave feeling stronger, both inside and out.


💡 Session Options & Pricing

Mindful Tennis is available in two flexible formats:

1️⃣ Individual Coaching (1:1)

  • $60 per session

  • Includes a personalized wellness check-in and individualized resilience coaching

  • Customized drills and mental wellness support based on participant needs

2️⃣ Small Group Coaching (2–8 youth)

  • $60 per participant per session

  • Includes Red or Yellow Ball drills, group mindfulness, and shared reflection

  • Two levels available:

    • Beginner Group – for those new to tennis and/or emotional wellness tools

    • Intermediate/Advanced Group – for more experienced players looking to build emotional strength alongside tennis skills in a non-competitive setting

🧑‍🏫 Meet Your Coaches

Mindful Tennis is led by husband-and-wife team Adrian Murray and Krys Murray, M.A., CBHC, who bring a unique blend of tennis, mental health, and trauma-informed mentorship:

  • Krys Murray is a Certified Behavioral Health Coach with a Master’s in Human Services Counseling.

  • Adrian Murray is a Certified Wellness Coach and USTA-trained Red Ball Tennis facilitator.

Together, they bring over a decade of combined experience in youth development and coaching. Their shared passion for tennis and mental wellness drives their mission to create safe, uplifting spaces where young people can grow and thrive.
