Welcome to the USTA's TEAM TEXAS Sectional Camp!
This exciting event is presented by the USTA Texas Section and scheduled to be held at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock. The camp is open to both girls and boys, (ages 11-16) with WTN Ratings ranging from 25 to 31. Out of the applicants, 12 girls and 12 boys will be chosen based on the strength of their WTN Ratings.
The Camp is Scheduled for Saturday, May 23rd, running from 10:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
CAMP SCHEDULE
10:00-10:30 - Welcome, Introductions, and Warm-Up
10:30-11:00 - On Court Group Coaching Centralized on the Geometry of the Court and How Shot Selection Relates to It
11:00-12:00 - Dinner for the Players During Class Room Work Session on How to Manage Tennis Emotional Challenges
12:00-2:00 - Players on Court Match Play with Interactive Coaching by Camp Staff
12:30 to 1:00 - Lunch and Educational Meeting for Parents on How to Play Their Optimal Role in their Childrens Tennis
2:00-3:30 - Players Grouped on Court for Dynamic and Motivational Group Games
3:30-4:00 - On Court Closing Review, Players Recognition, and Camp Photos
The Cost for the Camp Inclusive of All On-Court Coaching, Off-Court Educational Sessions, Dinner for Players and Parents is $89.
