MISSION STATEMENT:

Founded in 2017, the Santa Monica Tennis Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Community Tennis Association and sports-based youth development organization. Tennis is our vehicle—but our mission reaches beyond the court. We are committed to building confident, resilient young people through social-emotional learning, mentorship, educational support, and vocational pathways.

We strive to create an inclusive, affordable, and high-quality community where youth, adults, and families feel welcome. Our programs serve as a “third home” for young people—a place, alongside school and family, where they are encouraged to grow, lead, and achieve their best for themselves and for the broader community.

Our offerings include clinics, community classes, CREST after-school programs, USTA tournaments, UTR match play, flex leagues, and individualized instruction for youth and adults. Through partnerships with the City of Santa Monica and the Police Activities League, we provide free and low-cost programming for underserved and at-risk youth, removing financial and socio-economic barriers to participation.

We are dedicated to excellence in instruction, led by USPTA-certified coaches and former NCAA players, while also developing the next generation of coaches and leaders through training programs, internships, and mentorship opportunities.
