RCTA - Rutherford Community Tennis Association Where Neighbors Become Friends
About RCTA
Rutherford Community Tennis Association (RCTA), was created as a Community Tennis Association (CTA) in 2020. Our mission is to promote free and low-cost tennis to kids and adults in Rutherford, Fairfax County, Virginia. We are a volunteered-based organization under the umbrella of the USTA.
Rutherford is an active community of almost 700 homes located between Guinea Road and Olley Lane in Fairfax County, Virginia. The community has tree-lined streets, great schools, a wonderful neighborhood park, walking trails, and a popular community swimming pool. We are a diverse family-oriented community with friendly neighbors and helpful services.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe in creating a positive and welcoming environment for players of all ages. By focusing on play, building character, and championing individual challenges, we empower them to grow and develop at their own pace. It’s all about providing players the opportunity to enjoy tennis on their own terms. Kids who play tennis will be healthier, happier, and have a game they can play for life. By capturing the thrill and fun of the game and developing skills on and off the court, we can build the next generation of greats.
A NEW WAY TO PLAY
Net Generation is a celebration of a game where no one sits on the sidelines. Tennis is easy to learn and tailored for all ages and abilities, giving kids a game that will help them build friendships and learn skills they’ll use for life.
