NATIONAL JUNIOR TENNIS & LEARNING NETWORK and ACE CURRICULUM

Rockingham County Tennis Association is a one star chapter of the National Junior Tennis & Learning Network (NJTL) sponsored by the USTA Foundation. Through more than 300 youth development non-profit organizations locations, the NJTL network provides free or low-cost tennis and education to more than 180,000 under-resourced youth.

RC Tennis was part of the Blueprint for Success Capacity Building program from 2019-21.  This 3-year grant program provides funding and program support from the USTA Foundation and the Southern Tennis Foundation for connecting tennis and education for underserved youth.  We use Community Coaches and high school and middle school interns to provide tennis instruction and enrichment on site at our partner locations and/or on the tennis courts across Rockingham County. This program is organized by a NJTL Coordinator.  A certified teacher leads our academic enrichment program following the USTA Foundation's ACE and Life Skills curriculum.
