About this league

The goal of the singles league is for players to have fun, meet local players and improve their singles game. This league is open to players with an NTRP rating of 3.5 and below.
PLAYERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE A USTA RATING. If you do not have a current NTRP rating, email the tennis director to confirm what your NTRP rating level would be. The email address for the tennis director is citytennisace@gmail.com.
PLAYING IN THIS SINGLES LEAGUE WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR NTRP RATING. This is an individual league! USTA MEMBERSHIP IS NOT REQUIRED!!
REMINDER...this is an ADULT LEAGUE. All participants MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.

League rules

BASIC INFORMATION:
*League Cost is $35/per player (5 Week Session)
*Tennis balls are the responsibility of each player. Tennis balls may be purchased at the clubhouse before your match for $4/per can.
*Court fees are included in the league fee. IF A MATCH NEEDS TO BE RESCHEDULED FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN INCLEMENT WEATHER, PLAYER REQUESTING THE CHANGE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING A COURT AND PAYING COURT FEE.
*REGISTRATION DEADLINE is OCTOBER 23rd, 9:00 pm.
*Schedule will be posted Thursday, October 24th, no later than 3 pm.
*League dates will be: October 24, 31*, November 7, 14, 21--October 31st may be made up another date with no charge for courts due to Halloween


LEAGUE FORMAT:
*Players will be 5 total singles matches (1 each week).
*League WINNER will be determined by HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF GAMES WON OUT OF TOTAL GAMES PLAYED. In the event a MATCH TIEBREAK is played for the 3rd set, 1 GAME will be counted towards the total # of games played.

*MATCH FORMAT:
*Matches will be played on Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 pm at Tyson Tennis Center.
*Matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring, with a MATCH TIEBREAK played for the 3rd set (first to 10 by 2).
*Players must make their own calls fairly. Any disagreement must be settled by only the players involved.
*In the event a player is NOT ABLE to make the scheduled match, he may ask the opponent for a reschedule. We ask that the rescheduled match be played PRIOR TO THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULED MATCH.
