Moe Begins College Senior Year With A Bang
Karen Moe, graduate of Fargo South High and USTA tournament player, made it to the semi-final round (draw of 128) of the 2016 USTA/ITA Women's Tennis Midwest Regional Championships at Gustavus Adophus this past weekend.

Kringlies Named 2016 USTA-Northern Family of the Year
Erik, Susan, Hale, and Kai Kringlie of Valley City have been named USTA-Northern's 2016 Family of the Year.
Erik is Director of Data Centers & Virtualizations and Assistant Boys' Tennis Coach at Valley City State University.
Susan is a commissioner for the Valley Citty Parks and Recreation Department. She also is the Secretary/Treasurer and a board member for both tne USTA-Northern Section and the North Dakota Tennis Assiociation.
Erik and Susan have been involved in Valley City tennis for years, organizing events and tournaments.
Hale is a member of the Valley City Boys' Tennis Team.
Kai plays in USTA tournaments.
Summers Named National Junior Team Tennis Organizer
Oliver Summers, Director of Tennis at Courts Plus Community Fitness in Fargo, has been named the 2016 USTA National Junior Team Tennis Organizer of the Year. In addition to his duties at Courts Plus, Summers is the head women’s coach at MSU-Moorhead.

Fargo Junior Team Tennis Players Going to Nationals.
The team consists of Anna Steinwand, Chessa Jones, Damien O'Donnell, Joseph Beske, Lauryn Andre, Nathan Young, North Knewtson, Preeti Chemiti and Trevor Jacklitch. The Fargo team is coached by Oliver Summers.

Red River Recaptures Boys’ Tennis Titles.
After a year in which the Red River Riders lost the team title to Fargo South, they have recaptured it, as well as the singles and doubles titles. The singles champion is Jake Kuhlman and the doubles champions are Daniel Pierce and Kaden Johnson. The team is coached by Greg LaDouceur.

Swanberg Named 2016 Boys’ High School Senior Athlete of the Year.
Brian Swanberg, Legacy High School senior, has been voted the 2016 Senior Athlete by the statewide tennis coaches. Swanberg and his partner Michael Janes have won the West Region doubles title three consecutive years. He and the Legacy Sabers defended their 2015 West Region team title. The team finished 2nd at the state tournament and Swanberg and Janes finished second in the doubles competition.
McPherson Named 2016 Boys’ High School Tennis Coach of the Year
Scott McPherson, Legacy High School Tennis Coach, has been voted the 2016 Coach of the Year by his statewide peers. McPherson has been the only tennis coach at the new
Bob Cordova Named BMTA Member of the Year
Bob Cordova, the Younger, has been named the 2016 Member of the Year by the Bismarck-Mandan Tennis Association. Cordova has been directing tournaments the last couple of years. He was quick to give credit to other members of the board and to his siblings for their assistance, citing that it is a team effort to run tournaments.
