McPherson Named National Finalist
The North Dakota High School Coaches' Association has nominated longtime Bismarck tennis coach Scott Mcpherson as one of eight finalists to be named as National High School Tennis Coach of the Year. Nominees are selected based on dedication to high school athletics, awards earned, winning percentage, and championships won. In addition to serving as a tennis coach, McPherson has long been a referee for high school basketball.
The Sergio Gambucci Family, Dr. Jack Pfister To Be Inducted Into North Dakota Tennis Hall of Fame
The Gambucci Family (Sergio, Eleanor, Bill, Jim, Mary Ann, Nancy, Carol, John and Ann) of Grand Forks, N.D., and the late Dr. Jack Pfister, of Wahpeton, N.D., comprise the 2018 induction class of the North Dakota Tennis Hall of Fame. Festivities took place Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Tom O’Leary Tennis Court, Bismarck during the Bismarck Open. Valley City State Wins Tennis On Campus National Club of the Year
Valley City State University in Valley City, N.D., was named the 2018 Tennis on Campus National Club of the Year. They will be honored at the 2018 Semiannual Meeting in New York City during the US Open.
