This program is  designed for children aged 8 and under, which uses a red ball and smaller court to introduce them to the sport of tennis. Children will learn basic tennis skills such as hand-eye coordination, footwork, racquet technique, and serving. The coaching staff will use a variety of fun games and activities to teach these skills, such as relay races, target practice, and mini-matches.

8U Red Ball Clinic is a 6-week program that takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings from 9:15-10:15am at Shillito Park. If there is a rain-out on one of those days, the make-up classes will be held on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday of the same week. By the end of the 6-week program, children will have developed the start to a solid foundation in the game of tennis and will have improved their skills and confidence on the court. They will also have had the opportunity to socialize and make new friends with their peers who share an interest in the sport.
