Get started in Tennis!
Las Cruces Tennis Players Association does not offer on-going tennis lessons. We do sponsor a summer camp in July for junior players at beginning through high school levels, and a middle school program that runs August-September.
The best way for kids or adults to get started is with private lessons.
Below are the names of several people in the Las Cruces area who offer tennis lessons to beginning or intermediate juniors and adults. Typically, the teachers will begin with private lessons. Once the basic skills are in place, students may be grouped together with others of similar age and level.
Please note that LCTPA offers this information as a courtesy only. Tennis instruction from these teachers is not affiliated with LCTPA, and LCTPA is not responsible for the actions of the teachers listed or the content of their lessons.

Lucas Olivier
Lucas Olivier, originally from Marseille, France. Growing up, I competed nationally and internationally, and one of my proudest achievements was winning the French Cup in doubles under 18. During my college career, I played at Middle Tennessee and then Stetson University in Florida (D1 Teams), where I competed at the top of the lineup in singles and doubles with a UTR in the high 12s. At Stetson, I was also named to the ASUN All-Academic Team and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Finance. I recently joined New Mexico State as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the women’s tennis team while pursuing my Master’s in Finance. Every summer I coach at Bedford Golf and Tennis Club in New York, working with players of all ages and levels. Tennis has shaped who I am, and I’m excited to now be in Las Cruces to share my passion and experience with the local tennis community.
