My background in Tennis includes many years on the court and has offered opportunities for long standing friendships as well as the ongoing challenge of improving my abilities in the game. I am currently a captain for a competitive Falmouth, MA based Men's USTA 8.0 level team. In addition, my regular play includes league and tournament activities throughout New England. My past coaching efforts span across many sports and regions of the country and have ranged from elementary school age youth programs to coaching adults in their 90's. I am passionate about helping others gain confidence in their abilities and having fun while doing it!
Recommendations for Coach Dave:
My nine-year-old daughter has been taking tennis lessons with Coach Dave for several months now. From the very first lesson Coach Dave's patience, attentiveness and sense of humor were apparent. He has a thoughtful approach to his teaching techniques and while each lesson focuses on mastering a particular skill, he also incorporates knowledge about the game as a whole which I think is important. Each lesson builds on the next and he continues to find new ways of practicing the fundamentals which keeps my daughter engaged and moving throughout the hour-long lesson. I have seen improvement in her tennis and watched her confidence grow during her time with Coach Dave. She is learning to play the game correctly and having a great time doing it.

We highly recommend Dave as a tennis coach for kids and grown-ups. My kids are 11 and 13 years old. Among the several tennis coaches who have coached them, Dave is the best. He is rigorous yet knows how to make it fun so the kids are motivated to learn. He is energetic and passionate, and tailored his coaching to meet individuals' needs. My husband and I also took tennis lessons with Dave and were greatly benefited from his instruction. He keeps it simple and easy to follow, and it's effective. We have seen improvement in our techniques. We've enjoyed learning tennis with Dave and will continue our lessons with him.

My 3 kids worked with Coach Dave this summer in weekly tennis lessons. They are 9, 7, and 5. Coach Dave brings a unique balance of seriousness, instruction and fun that really helped our kids to improve their game. Coach Dave maintains a sense of dedication and focus, while also being encouraging and making the lesson fly by. His unique ability is striking a balance between discipline/learning and joy. He's very flexible and user-friendly, adjusting to our needs and requests as needed. We are headed back to NY for the school year, but would definitely work with Coach Dave again, given the chance!

Coach Dave was professional, encouraging and fun to watch teach the kids. It is hard to get a group of 1st graders to listen and he did a great job! His coaching skills were easy for the kids to understand and my daughter is excited to go to the next level in the fall!

Coach Dave is an excellent tennis instructor. We enjoyed his easy style and focus on empowering us with the exercises we need to practice and improve between lessons and beyond. We also enjoyed the “Yacht Rock” radio he played sometimes (neighbors allowing) at our morning sessions.
