On March 14, board members Chris Flanagan and Rocco Demateis awarded Adrianna Carroll the 2024 Donna Lenseigne TAGS Tennis scholarship on court at West Valley High School. Congrats Adrianna!
TAGS OUTREACH
In partnership with a generous community outreach grant from the Pacific Northwest USTA, TAGS held a introductory tennis clinic for the members of the Spokane THRIVE International at Parkfit Athletic Club on February 3. THRIVE International is a locally based non-profit organization which provides transitional housing and services to refugee and immigrant communities in Spokane, Washington. Twenty-eight THRIVE youth and adult participants were introduced to forehand and backhand through fun drills, games, and a session rallying with the ball machine. Following the tennis lessons, TAGS provided pizza and a raffle where two lucky participants won brand new tennis racquets. Thank you to board members Rocco Demateis, Chelsea McKell, Yair Berenstein and Jason Sullivan for your invaluable tennis and organizing expertise, and Brian McKell, Brianna McKell, Tyra Demateis and Parkfit Club employee, Victoria and Parkfit Atheltic Club for their invaluable assistance. TAGS hopes to host another tennis outreach program in the near future. Stay tuned!

WHO WE ARE
We are the Tennis Association of Greater Spokane, or TAGS, a non-profit association run by volunteers who happen to love tennis. We organize yearly Spring and Summer leagues for TAGS members at a variety of levels and age groups in the Spokane area. We also support youth tennis by organizing a summer league for players under 18, and by granting scholarships to youth members who demonstrate a desire to improve their game and sportsmanship. In 2019, we became a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions to support tennis in our community. We are run by a volunteer board that wanted more opportunities for the public to play tennis.
HOW WE PLAY
TAGS organizes the leagues and players themselves arrange the dates, times, and locations of their own matches. Matches are played best two out of three sets, regular ad scoring, with a 10-point tie breaker in lieu of a full third set, if necessary. Players can agree beforehand to a full third set, or other score-keeping, if necessary for time, weather, or other reasons.

The TAGS League Coordinator keeps track of the official results and standings. If you notice any errors please email us at tennisspokane@gmail.com. Players who complete all their matches in each season receive the coveted custom TAGS T-shirt.

WHERE WE PLAY
We play at whatever courts are available and mutually agreeable to the players in each league in the Spokane area.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
- Family membership $40 (multiple players in the same household)
- Adult membership $25 (one adult player)
- Youth membership $10 (one youth player)
Each league is $12 per person. Late fee $10 for registering or paying after the deadline on the registration. Click on the "Adult Leagues"or "Youth Leagues" tab to register for the 2024 season.
