Officers Meeting Minutes June 20 , 2016 at 6:30pm

  1. 6:30 Meeting called to order followed by introductions and conversation

  2. Standing Items:

    1. Review agenda & plan meeting

    2. 6:38 Forehand Tennis Tip: Pat the dog. After your unit turn (1)Turn your Wings, you fully extend your arm with your wrist cocked like you are (2) patting a large dog by your side. Then (3) Fire and Pull and (4) Wrap and Roll 

    3. Approved minutes from previous meeting

    4. 6:41 Treasurer's report and financial review <HL> Actuals through 2015/8
      approved as presented

    5. 6:47 League reviews: USTA adult & JTT <HL> Adult Stats and JTT Stats

      1. Adult league participation about the same as 2015.
        18 Mixed - same, 18&U +20 (600), 40&U - 70 (370) 

      2. JTT league participation up a bit from 2015

      3. Succession planning for JTT coordinator discussion

    6. Report from USTA Youth Engagement Specialists [YES]

      1. JTT sectional went great. Special thanks to Deb M. for her help. Feedback given from Captains Surveys to SPORTyler about impact of 350 participants and their 500 accompanying adults. Comment about "enthusiasm" of some tennis parents.

      2. SPORTyler will be supplying captains gifts and info to players for mixed sectional in the fall.

    1. Mail Received:

      1. 4/19 email Todd: free Webinar: fundraising, grant writing on 4/21

      2. 4/22 email Todd: Conference call with Van Berry on 4/28

    2. 4/28 Conf Call with Van Berry, Director USTA-TX <HL> Official Summary

    3. 7:09 Approved informal action (email) to spend $2,000 on JTT Sectional party.

    4. Andrea and Ike are sharing equipment. No new equipment need right now.
