Minutes from NETX Coalition Officer's meeting on May 3, 2022

1. Meeting called to order at Noon.
   Present were: Mark H, Judy H, Edward K, Randy R, Gary W, Melody W, 
2. Review agenda & plan meeting and Approve minutes from previous meeting
3. Treasurer's report and financial review <HL> Actuals through 2021  + budget
   1. Checking account and other documents now in Randy's control
4. PR officer Karen nominates Brian Foster as new officer
5. League reviews: USTA adult  <HL> Adult Stats 
   Judy gave review to date followed by discussion. 
6. 12:17 JTT and JTT Stats
   1. JTT. Ben submitted 40 hours and some expenses.
      expenses approved ($70 in ball expenses?) 
      Edward to contact Ben and get more detail on 40 hours so we can compensate accordingly. 
   2. The spring JTT program had a few participants 
   3. Mark H is JTT coordinator for section and able to add his perspective to a discussion about JTT, league coordinator compensation, JTT purpose and variety of events and formats. Officers agreed that league participation is a logical main determinant of the coordinators compensation and that compensation for hours worked is tricky to get fair and consistent.

8. Hosting Sectionals plans: JTT Spring and ??
9. NETX Tournament / fun event or other fundraising strategy: 
   (some CTAs bring in more money with tournaments than leagues)
10. Netx - TASC liasison - Melody will continue to work with TASC on our initiatives with them, the pro tournament and free lessons.

    2. 3/28 Please mark your calendars for Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for the North/Northeast Texas CTA Regional Meeting.  Our goal for this workshop is to provide you and other members of your board with an opportunity to engage, collaborate and share with other CTA Leaders from across your region.  We would like for each CTA to have 2 to 3 representatives attend the Workshop.
    3. 3/14 Comprehensive Grant <HL>  Award Letter  $5,000 and <HL>  Deliverables
       1. Hire and report on intern's highlights and successes 
       2. Nominate for USTA Texas Awards 
       3. 3/22 add USTA Texas logo to website
       4. 3/26 CTA volunteer coordinator 
          suggest we create a "Volunteer@netxcta.org" email to facilitate ($40 / year)
       5. 3/22 CTA webpage with Volunteer ops and interest form
       6. 5 photos from event engaging traditionally undeerrepresented
       7. Attend CTA Regional Workshop  Saturday, October 2, 2022 (2 or more attendees from NETX)
       8. Attend virtual CTA learning series
       9. Attend virtual CTA Quarterly calls 
       10. Year-end report due Dec 30, 2022
    4. 3/3 <HL> CTA "Idea Bank."  Spreadsheet that Katy will monitor: your ideas or info request
    5. 2/4 Informal action: support TASC free tennis initiative: need written agreement
    6. 2/4 Informal action: $5,000 gold sponsor Tyler Christus Pro: approved 5/3
