Minutes of Officers Meeting January 11, 2023.

Present were: Edward K., Jim M., Gary O., Randy R., Melissa W. 

12:00 Meeting called to order 

1. Minutes of last meeting approved as presented. 
2. Treasurers report approved as presented (with amendments)
3. Discussion of Adult leagues
4. Discussion of hosting sectional "Abilene was great with party for players"
5. 12:21 discussion of how to use money donated by Melody's team $450 perhaps a plaque on a TASC bench? 
6. D&O insurance voted as unnecessary for 2023
7. 12:31 Discussion of budget and focus for 2023
   1. $1,000 allocated for a USTA league party or captains recognition and/or team awards
      Perhaps establish the "Melody Wilson Sportsmanship Trophy" as one of the awards
   2. $1,200 to pay a pro to implement one of our new programs like a subsidized Fitness and Wellness Clinic. Jim approached oncologist and was encouraged to flesh out the ideas 
   3. Tyler ISD elementary schools all have a tennis rotation in their PE supervised by the respective High School Coaches 
   4. Home Schoolers have access to Tennis programs through our clubs
   5. $2,000 to continue the Kid's play days at the annual October WTA event (in lieu of sponsorship)
   6. Hope Open Sponsorship will change from cash donation to "How can we otherwise help" 
   7. $5,000 income from the 1st Annual Feb Pickleball Tournament.
      Separate meeting this week to identify and assign responsibilities 
8. DBA Northeast Texas Pickleball Association. 11/20. Joining USA Pickelball..12/04
9. DBA Northeast Texas Community Tennis Association 5/25
10. Comprehensive Grant Application is open. Edward to review 2022 and apply for 2023
11. NETX won Texas Best Small CTA of the year for 2023
12. Monday, March 6 at noon is next meeting.
