Grants included in the new unified grant available to CTAs January 12-22 2022

Capacity Building ($500 - $7,500 for qualified CTAs)

Support for development/enhancement to off-court administrative functions and the overall structure of the organization. This can include Education & Training, Marketing, Communications, Partnerships, Advocacy, Administration & Technology. See Capacity Building Grant - Funding Ideas for more details. Acceptable documentation: Supporting documents that accurately depict how granted funds were used (such as receipts, invoices, marketing materials, event photos, etc.).

CTA Intern (up to $2,500)

Provided to pay a summer intern from a local college/university for a 10–12-week period to perform tasks and projects needed to support the CTA. Acceptable documentation: Pre-internship: One page “Intern Informational Form”, featuring a statement on the intern’s role and expectations, intern’s name and contact information, timeframe for the internship and the intern supervisor’s name and contact information; Post-internship: Completion of an internship evaluation form by the intern and internship supervisor, including ideas to keep the intern involved with the CTA and USTA after the internship.

Diverse Events (up to $500 per event) 

Designed to incentivize CTAs and local partners to reach diverse audiences by promoting tennis at local cultural events or festivals of their choosing. Examples of appropriate use of funds are: Hispanic Heritage Festivals, Juneteenth celebrations and LGBTQ Pride Month events. Acceptable documentation: Receipts for booth/exhibitor fees, marketing materials, gifts/promo items.

Hispanic Engagement ($500 - $800)

Supports local efforts to attract Hispanic individuals and groups new to tennis, such as junior and adult players, volunteers, strategic partners, officials, and coaches. Acceptable documentation: A short program summary explaining what was done, the event/program date(s), the approximate number of people served or reached and the outcome. Additional information shared could be the marketing mechanisms used, partners supporting this program and plans to sustain this program in the future.

Millennial Engagement (up to $500)

Offsets some of the costs of young tennis advocates from across the state attending various USTA Texas meetings and trainings. Applicants must be a part of the “Millennial Generation” with a birthdate between 1981 – 1996. Acceptable documentation: receipts (food, lodging, travel)
