About this program

USTA Tennis 101 is designed for new players or returning players to have fun and learn (or even re-learn) the sport. Each class during this 6-session program includes engaging and interactive tennis activities plus fun games so you can build your skills. Participants who complete the program will possess the fundamental skills in order to be confident in enjoying tennis. You do not need any prior tennis experience to enjoy USTA Tennis 101.

What to expect from Tennis 101

USTA Tennis 101 is designed specifically for new players to the game. Through this 8-session program, junior participants will participate in fun games, learn character growth principles and work on their athletic development. Participants who complete the program will possess the fundamental skills in order to be confident in enjoying tennis. You do not need any prior tennis experience to enjoy USTA Tennis 101.



An introductory 1 day session:

  1. Body and Soul Gymnasium will host the intro demonstration on Monday, January 24, from 6  pm to 7 pm.  With enough interest, we will run  8 day, 1 hr sessions on Mondays from  February 7 to March 28th.  Each session will last for 1 hr, 6 to 7 pm.
     
  2. Wear sneakers and bring a water bottle.  All other equipment will be provided.
