What to expect from Match Play
Developed by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) is a rating that provides a global standard for players in both singles and doubles with a scale of 40-1. WTN Match Play allows players to participate in matches that count towards their WTN without having to commit to a tournament. Players can be placed in groups based on their rating to promote an appropriate competitive level and positive sportsmanship through level-based play. Please note that WTN Match Play is offered in orange, green, and yellow ball programs, but orange ball does not count towards WTN.
We will divide up into teams on the day of each session and have round robin play between the teams for two hours. Register for all session or just one. Players should be able to rally and serve. There is no cost to register.
Cost for each session is $5/player to support the program. Scholarships are available to all.
Bring a water bottle and a racquet if you have one. No racquet, no worries! You can borrow one. We supply everything else.
Please note that we will not play on March 19th.
All matches played at Robinson High School varsity courts. The courts are located behind the High School.
