Ages 5 - 7. Red ball tennis is named after the oversized red/yellow balls that are used at this stage. Red tennis balls bounce lower and move more slowly through the air, helping players develop tennis coordination skills while playing on a court that is easily manageable for their size and age. Courts at this level are 36 feet long and 18 feet wide, with a net that is 2-foot-9.

Players in this class will learn the basics of tennis strokes, including volleys, ground strokes, serves and slices. As players advance, they will progress into tennis tactics and match play. Tennis Tech coaches will be using the USTA NetGen app to track player progress and make sure they are not moving to orange ball until they have learned the skills that will help them be successful at each of the next levels!

This will be a 4-class session (no classes on Memorial Day)
