About this program
USTA Tennis 101 is designed for new players or returning players to have fun and learn (or even re-learn) the sport. Each class during this 6-session program includes engaging and interactive tennis activities plus fun games so you can build your skills. Participants who complete the program will possess the fundamental skills in order to be confident in enjoying tennis. You do not need any prior tennis experience to enjoy USTA Tennis 101.

What to expect from Tennis 101
USTA Tennis 101 is designed specifically for new players to the game. Through this 8-session program, junior participants will participate in fun games, learn character growth principles and work on their athletic development. Participants who complete the program will possess the fundamental skills in order to be confident in enjoying tennis. You do not need any prior tennis experience to enjoy USTA Tennis 101.
*Parent Participation Class * Ages 5-8. Session is for 6 weeks. You and your child / grandchild can learn and play together. Parents/ grandparents learn fun games and drills, to practice with their kiddos anytime. A great introduction to the basic techniques using fun games and an easy to learn lesson curriculum. Designed to teach solid fundamentals and stroke production. What to bring: Tennis racquet and water. (Racquets are available if needed.) Class sizes are kept small, for more individual attention & focus with each player. This allows for more rapid growth and a better understanding of the skill that is being worked on. Quickstart Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5 pm, at Folsom Lake College.
