November 14, 2024- Apres Racquet and Paddle (AR&P) held it's first annual end of season ladies tennis tournament on Saturday, November 9th at the beautiful waterfront Surfside Road tennis court in Scituate.

The tournament format consisted of two four lady teams playing round robin matches (vs. the oppositon) with each of their 3 teammates, with the top two total game scorers from each squad advacing to the finals after the preliminary round. 

Teams were coached by AR&P certified pros Matt Hendison and Meghan Neri. Said winning team coach Neri, "What a fun event to be a part of. Most rewarding was to see how far each of these mostly beginner ladies improved over the course of the season and how they handled their first tennis competition."

The group celebrated the event and the end of the season afterwards at CPs Pizza in Scituate.

"I was so proud of all the players. We had a great time and they all played very well", said Hendison. He continued, "since starting AR&P, four years ago, we've had well over two hundred kids and adults participate in our clinics, private lessons and semi-private groups. The participation and demand has grown way beyond what I could have imagined and we are already getting requests to sign up and reserve spots for next year".
