This is an 6 week course designed to teach beginner tennis players a chance to learn the fundamentals of tennis.  The fundamentals of tennis include groundstrokes (forehand, backhand), volley, serve, return and backhand slice.  During the 8 weeks players will be introduced or reintroduced to all of the above mentioned techinques in a 1 hour class.  Each class will introduce and new technique and review an previously learned one.  By the end of the class, everyone should know all of the listed techniques and be able to perform them with a partner.  On the final day of class, players will learn and play out a short set or a tie break set of doubles.  We recommend that players take this retake this course until they are able to perform all learned techniques with confidence before moving on to a higher level course.
