Evansville NJTL (National Junior Tennis and Learning)

We are honored to be a part of the USTA youth tennis programming offering free and reduced tennis for our community. While we offer programming to ages 4 - 18, our main focus is for youth ages 6 - 12. We have numerous partnerships with area youth community organizations offering tennis events and programs throughout the year. Locations of events are at the Evansville Tennis Center, Wesselman Park Tennis Courts, Lamasco Park, Tepe Park, Garvin Park, Potter's Wheel, and EVSC schools. Our goal is to increase our outreach each year by 15% participation in our programming. Each year we are able to provide tennis and education to over 1000 youth in our community and growing! We are a local 501(c)3 non-profit that provides these opportunities in the community free to the participating youth. Because of grants, sponsorships, donations, and fundraisers, we raise the funds to cover the expenses for these programs. Our internal registrations from ongoing tennis classes and membership at our public facilities do not fund these programs. We are thankful for the partnerships we have with area youth organizations such as EVPL, Potter's Wheel, Glenwood Leadership Academy, Community One, YMCA, and EVSC.

In addition, we focus on middle school tennis leagues for our Junior Team Tennis outreach offering 11 schools the opportunity to compete each year. Our middle school programs run in the fall for boys and the spring for girls. Over 440 middle school players compete each year at various schools. Schools we reach out to are - Boonville, Castle, North, Central, Evansville Christian School, Evansville Day School, Memorial, Reitz, Mater Dei, Harrison, Bosse, and Henderson Holy Name.
