Score Reporting Protocols
We understand that reporting accurate scores is critical to ratings. Per Friend At Court, it is the Winner's responsibility to report the score. This means the tournament desk will only accept reporting from the Winner. If you are the loser of a match and you are concerned the score may not be reported correctly; you should accompany the winner to the desk to report the score.
Winners will report the score to the tournament desk immediately after the match. Players should not delay the reporting of the score.
- The Loser of the match can confirm the score at the time the winner reports.
- If there is a dispute, the players can take that moment to talk it out while it is fresh in their minds and agree on a score for the winner to report to the desk.
- If an agreement cannot be reached, the Referee will help the players come to an agreement.
- The Loser may report a score if he/she gets to the desk first. However, if the loser does not stay to confirm the score with the winner, the score given by the winner will be the official score.
No scores will be changed after entered online unless one of the players reports a change which is favorable to the other player.
- Also note, should players have multiple issues with score reporting, Unsportsmanlike Conduct may be suspected and could result in suspension points.
- We will not "track down games" for players days or even hours after a match. Too much time will have lapsed to try to get the one player to remember the score the way the other player wants it remembered. If it is important to you, then the loser of the match should come to the desk with the winner immediately after the match.
- Parents, Coaches, and Players - please respect this process. With the rating systems, every game is important. We want to report the scores accurately.
Officiating: One roving official per every three courts. Chaired matches for the singles final, singles semi-finals, singles 3/4 playoff, and doubles final.
Racket Stringing: Rackets can be dropped off at the Reis Tennis Center front desk. The rate is $25/racket with your own string.
After the close of registration, we do not provide refunds to players who are selected and withdraw from the tournament.
