‘Play into Competition’ Conference

The USTA is excited to announce its first “Play into Competition” Virtual Conference,  a new educational opportunity centered on framing developmentally appropriate competition to youth players. The conference's philosophy is through the lens of the USTA’s American Development Model (ADM).

As the conference title suggests, playing tennis is an opportunity to have fun and explore one’s tennis skills, and when ready, make the transition into competition. It is essential to view competition as an arena to practice life skills and an opportunity to focus on the player as a person. Kids and adults love to compete, and so competition becomes the ultimate expression.
