Procedure for On-Site Alternates: Any alternate that would like to be on stand by as an on-site alternate is asked to register on Saturday, August 5th during registration (12:00pm - 5:00pm) at Lifetime Athletic.

NOTE: No alternate that appeared on the published Alternate List shall be denied admittance for failing to be present for Registration on Saturday.

Alternates who sign in as on-site alternate will be ordered as they are on the published alternate list and will need to sign in again on Sunday morning by 7:30am at the Tournament Desk at Lifetime Athletic before singles play begins at 8:00am. Please know that the 1st round will be played both at Lifetime Athletic and Hudlow Tennis. Travel time will be allowed if necessary.

SATURDAY CHECK IN

Saturday check is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to  5:00 p.m. at Lifetime Athletic @ Peachtree Corners, 6350 Courtside Dr NW, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092. THERE ARE NO PETS ALLOWED AT LIFETIME. THERE IS NO OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED AT LIFETIME. If you can't make Saturday check in, please check in at least 1 hour prior to your first match on Sunday. All parents will have to fill out a waiver at the front desk at Lifetime. Once your complete the waiver, we will give you a wristband for access for the rest of the week.  All players will get credentials for daily access.

At the end of round 1:

• The winners go east.

• The losers go west.

At the end of round 2:

• The east losers go north.

• The west losers go south.

At the end of round 3:

• The losers are out of the tournament (unless it is announced in writing before the start of the first match of the tournament that there will be semifinal playoffs)

FORMAT OF PLAY:

• Singles - 128 Compass draw that guarantees each player at least four matches, with round-of-16 losers fed into a separate single elimination draw (silver) and the quarterfinal losers fed into another separate single elimination draw (gold)
• Doubles - USTA National Championship doubles draws shall be single elimination with a playoff for third and fourth place - all teams are required to play in the playoff.

Scoring

• Main Draw Singles (including play off for 3rd & 4th place): Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets; regular scoring.
• Non-East Compass Draw Matches: Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in Lieu of a 3rd Set; regular scoring.
• Doubles Matches USTA National Championships: The Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets shall be used in the semifinal, final, and playoff for 3rd place. All other doubles matches shall use the Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets with a 10-Point match Tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd Set; no-ad scoring.

The Code:

In matches without an official on court, players are expected to follow "The Code".

If you have never read it, please do so.

Stringer:

There will be a stringer at Lifetime Athletic @ Peachtree Corners during the tournament. Cost with your own string is $21. We also have a large string inventory if you do not have your own.

Trainer:

Trainer(s) will be on site at the Lifetime during matches. By law, trainers are not allowed to distribute any medicine. Please bring your own Tylenol, Advil, Sinus Medicine, Epi Pens, etc. Please note: The trainer has a lot of ground to cover. They are not there to give massages due to limited time and lack of privacy, but they will advise you on various techniques you or your parents can do. There is also a science to applying Kinesiology Tape due to a specific diagnosis. Without a diagnosis from a doctor, the trainers will not apply this type of tape for you. If you require this tape due to a pre-existing injury, please learn how to tape before the tournament.
