Adams & Cantrell represent Clarksville in Impact World Team Tennis

Clarksville high school tennis players Anna Marie Adams, (Clarksville Academy rising sophmore) and Kelton Cantrell (Kirkwood High School rising Junior) competed in four days of Impact World Team Tennis junior Nationals.  Competing with Adams & Cantrell on Team Southern were other top juniors from Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, & Florida.   World Team Tennis is a different concept on scoring and normal tennis events and enhances team play atmosphere.   In this team competition, it is allowed to substitute players, count total games won and much more, making this truly team oriented.  This event took place at the USTA National Campus (Home of American Tennis) in Orlando FL.  Team Southern was coached by Bill Riddle and Ken Adams.

The  Junior Nationals is hosted by Impact Team Tennis and is a national junior invitational event featuring 26 coed teams from throughout the United States. The teams, representing juniors ages 14-18, compete during their three days of non-elimination draw competition. The event places a strong emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship. There are two Kathy Willette Leadership scholarships awarded each year to a boy and girl that participate in the event.
