In spite of the threat of rain, the weather was almost perfect on Saturday for the Men’s Super 8 Mini-Tournament.  This edition was for players with NTRP 4.0 and above.  The one for men players 3.5 and below was held earlier in the year.

Singles competition was first on Saturday, with Thomas Greene defeating Dave Johnston in the finals.  The match was very close, coming down to the final tiebreak.  Mike Cox took third place in singles, defeating Ed Dickson in the consolation match. 

In the doubles competition, Dave Johnston teamed up with Ken Koch to take the championship.  They had a very close match in the semi-finals against Thomas Greene and Danny Hilton, with the match being decided by a tiebreak.  They carried that momentum into the finals, however, rolling over Ed Dickson and Andrea Kim to take the championship.  Greene and Hilton took third place, defeating Mike Cox and Srinu Reddy.
