On Wednesday August 28, BCTA Coaches Steve Johnson and Craig Batten took young players from BCTA's public park programs to the 2024 US Open in Flushing, NY. The group, ages 6 through 12, demonstrated their tennis skills in Arthur Ashe Stadium as part of the USTA's USTA's Net Generation, which works to inspire the next generation of tennis players by making it easy and fun to learn tennis through modified equipment and courts.

Their on-court demonstration was performed during the day session at the 2024 US Open before the match between American player Madison Keys and Australia player Maya Joint.

For photos and a great video of the group, check out the BCTA Facebook page. Coach Steve commented on playing in the largest  tennis stadium in the world really motivates the kids to keep playing.

Tennis is one of the healthiest sports you can play; check out BCTA public park programs for players of all ages!
