The group gathered at William E. Neis Park in Doylestown Borough to listen and practice coaching tips, strategies and games that, in turn, can be implemented to spread the love of tennis on courts in Bucks County. For more photos, log onto the BCTA Facebook.
The workshop was conducted by USTA Middle States staff Renee Lentz, Evan Schreiner, and Hannah Masenheimer and hosted by the BCTA.
“We had our current coaches and assistants, including a number of high school students in the BCTA Leadership Development Program, as well as potential coaches and tennis enthusiasts,” Laura Canfield said. “It was a great way to start to build or improve coaching skills.”
She added, “The BCTA also offers coach mentoring where new coaches can observe or shadow an experienced coach on court during a BCTA program. So it’s never too late to share your love of tennis and people and become a coach!”
