For 2024, the Philadelphia Area Tennis District (PATD) will award four scholarships ($3,000) to graduating high school (or equivalent) seniors who intend to play or participate in tennis-related activities in their college freshman year.
The scholarship is named in memory of Becky Desmond for her numerous contributions to the tennis community in the Philadelphia District, including being the founder and Chair of the PATD Scholarship Committee. Evaluations are based on leadership and sportsmanship in tennis, academic achievement, and community service.
