HIT TO BE FIT EVENT CELEBRATED “MAY IS NATIONAL TENNIS MONTH” AND GENERATED HIGH ENERGY AND FITNESS

The occasion, hosted by the Bucks County Tennis Association (BCTA), was a nation-wide promotion of the healthiest sport on the planet. Nearly 200 facilities across the country simultaneously offered Hit To Be Fit for their respective community.

The three-hour event generated fun and high energy through cardio tennis warm-ups, Red Ball Tennis, and Triples play. The warmup provided a great opportunity for all participants to meet and make new friends. Red Ball, played on a shorter court, got people quickly playing tennis. And the five different rounds of Orange Ball Triples (with three players to a side and two bounces allowed) enabled all participants to play with and against every other player who attended the event.

Snacks and beverages were provided between rounds for recharging energy and socializing, and the "Party on the Courts" included heart-pumping music, provided by the United States Tennis Association from a playlist designed to provide high-energy performance throughout to support the Cardio tennis initiative during Triples play!

Congratulations to Trong Pham, from Whitehouse Station, NJ, for receiving the "Most Enthusiastic Player" award and a big thank you to BCTA Coaches Craig Batten and Susan Gordon for organizing this fun event, and to Doylestown Township Parks and Recreation for offering the newly built courts to the BCTA at no charge!

Everyone left with smiles on their faces, with one player claiming, “Triples is the only game I want to play—I had so much fun!”
