Leagues
An exciting new addition to Binghamton Tennis Center has been the formation of USTA Junior Team Tennis. We are running an 18 & under JTT. We are changing our format a bit to eliminate the down time between matches.
Teams are coed and the matches this season will be 6 singles matches and 3 doubles matches mirroring that of a collegiate match. The match-ups are not gender specific but rather by level and ability. All of our teams have a designated coach and is overseen by our junior team tennis coordinator Michele Wilson. We hope to see as many visitors as possible to cheer on our kids.
Leagues will begin to run November-March. Our local Binghamton league is on the Junior Team Tennis Site. One can view standings, match results, and individual stats here.
ADULT SUMMER CO-ED LEAGUES 2021:
The 2023 BTC Summer Doubles League is again just around the corner…DON'T MISS OUT!
The BTC Summer Co-Ed Doubles League will be starting up soon, with the first scheduled matches planned for late June/Early July depending on when the advancing USTA leagues finish. This means that a competing team in a match can either be all men, all women or mixed each week. The captains are responsible for setting the schedule for their rostered team members.
Matches will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting at 6:00pm. The matches will be played on the newly built outdoor facility which consists of 9 hard courts.
The number of divisions and matches will be dependent on how many teams enter the league. An “A” and “B” division will be available.
The “A” division recommended NTRP rating is a 3.5+
The “B” division NTRP recommended rating is 3.5 and below.
You will indicate which division your team will play in at the time of sign up. Once the deadline passes, we will begin to put together the schedule for the matches. This will be done through serve tennis. We hope to make the league as competitive and fun as possible for everyone.
Each team can consist of a maximum of 5 players (including a captain). The team entry fee again will be $50.00, and each team member MUST also be a member of BTC. The team fee, BTC memberships for all players on a team, and any additional forms MUST be turned into the league BEFORE the first match. Team captains are responsible to see that this gets done.
Teams finishing in the top four positions in each division will play in a season ending tournament to determine the league division champions.
The cost per match will be $24.00/court or $6.00 per player which will cover the cost of a can of balls and the court time.
Please start organizing your team early (maximum of five players per team). The entry deadline is Friday, June 11th. Team sign-up sheets will be available at the front desk.
