While the Palmetto Championships is Belton's oldest and largest tournament, 5 other tournaments are hosted by BTA each year.  Detailed information on the Palmetto Championships can be found under Palmetto Ch on this website.  Other 2022 Belton Tournaments (both sanctioned and unsanctioned):

• Belton Spring Championships (USTA Level 7 Open)-April 30
• SPUD (Special Populations Unified Doubles)-July 15-16
• Hall of Fame Classic (Girl's High School)-October 1-2
• Belton Fall Championships (USTA Level 7 Open)-Octoberr 7
• Southern Conference Fall Individiual Championships (College Men & Women)-November4-6

Belton Spring and Fall Championships are USTA Level 7 open entry tournaments, with one played in the spring (April) and another in the fall (October).  These one-day tournaments are for entry level playeres and feature singles and doubles for boys and girls.  

SPUD Tournament stands for Special Populations Unified Doubles and is a 2-day event.  Each special athlete is assigned to a team and a unified doubles partner.  Each year the SPUD Tournament has attracted over 50 special athletes, parents and coaches from North and South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.  The 2022 tournament was SPUD's 11th year and was played July 15-16.  It featured a special pizza party for the athletes, their families, coaches and chaperones with live music by the Combo Kings, and that will be repeated again in 2023!  The event recently received the 9-state USTA Southern 2019 Special Tennis Event of the Year.  The tournament was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid.  The 12th SPUD is scheduled  for July and efforts are being made to increase the number of athletes and expand the number of states represented.Chick-fil-A of Anderson Hall of Fame Classic is a 2-day girls high school tournament, featuring 8 of the state’s top teams.  The tournament was established in Belton in 1987.  The 2023 tournament was the Chick-fil-A of Andereson Hall of Fame Classic’s 37th year and was played October 1-2 with 6 teams participating:  B-HP, T. L. Hanna, Clinton, A,. C. Flora, Greenville and Christ Church (tournament team champion). Chapin and Spartanburg were unable to play due to school district restrictions caused by Hurrican Ian.  The 2023 Chick-fil-A of Anderson Hall of Fame Classic is tentatively scheduled for September 30 nand October 1.

Southern Conference Men’s & Women’s Individual Fall Tennis Championships is a 3-day event featuring men and women players from Wofford, Furman, The Citadel (men only), Mercer, Samford, UNC Greensboro, and Chattanooga.  Individual champions are determined in singles and doubles.  2021 was the first year for the tournament which was dominated by players from Furman.  The 2022 tournament is scheduled for November 4-6.

South Carolina Men’s Collegiate Championships…In Memory of Big Jim Russell was a 2 ½ day event featuring competition among college players from throughout the state in singles and doubles. The tournament begain in 2014 and was retired after the 2021 tournament.
