What to expect from Tennis 101
USTA Tennis 101 is designed specifically for new players to the game. Through this 8-session program, junior participants will participate in fun games, learn character growth principles and work on their athletic development. Participants who complete the program will possess the fundamental skills in order to be confident in enjoying tennis. You do not need any prior tennis experience to enjoy USTA Tennis 101.
Join us for an introduction to tennis for 5-8 year olds. This clinic will be run by certified professional instructors who will teach the basics of tennis to children in a fun environment. Sessions will include skills and drills, as well as play opportunities for chlidren to develop their games. Beginners and advanced beginners are welcome. Players will work toward being able to hit, rally, and play through the Net Generation Red Ball curriculum- and move to the Orange Ball curriculum as well. Sessions run from January 22-March 19th starting at 1pm. No sessions on 1/29 or 2/12, and a delayed start on 2/5. Please watch for other time changes throughout the semester. Hour long group sessions are $15 per lesson for non-members.
